Grated coconut 1 no
Onion 1 big, finely chopped
Ginger a small piece, finely chopped
Green chillies 2 nos, chopped
Turmeric powder 1 tsp
Salt as needed
Coconut oil 2 TBSP
Curry leaves a handful
Grind the grated coconut to a fine paste with little water and extract milk and keep aside.
:- Can also use the canned coconut milk.
Heat oil in a pan or a kadai. Saute onions, ginger, curry leaves and green chilly till they turn golden brown. Add the turmeric powder and mix well. Turn off the stove and add the entire coconut milk and allow to cool. Once cooled, add salt according to taste and mix well. Serve with idiappam or palappams. Tastes best when the idiyappams are immersed in sudhi..yummy yummm…
